Sculptra is made from Poly-L-lactic acid which helps stimulate collagen growth. Poly-L-Lactic acid is a biocompatible, synthetic material that is safely absorbed into the the skin for superior results. Over time, the growth of new collagen restores facial volume and the look of fullness to wrinkles and folds of the skin. Sculptra benefits will not be seen immediately but appear gradually over the next several months as the production of collagen is increased. The final results can last up to two years. Typically three injections over the course of three to four months are required. Sculptra is not considered painful with the use of a topical anesthetic and requires no downtime.
